Experienced OTs evaluate team performance, drive continuous improvement, and manage team manpower, appraisal processes, and training guidelines. They also handle time sheet accuracy, act as call-in contacts, and coordinate hiring. As a Team Performance/Quality Representative, they manage metal flow, monitor ticket and data accuracy, attend quality meetings, oversee dispositions, and support audits. As a Team Production Representative, they track production, interface with planning, and control spending. As a Team Safety Representative, they audit, produce incident reports, monitor housekeeping, and manage safety-related training and equipment. As an Administrative Representative, they produce monthly reports, oversee production reporting, and manage process control. The OT operates all production machinery and mobile equipment, may draft maintenance work orders, and suggest improvements to maintenance planners. They are responsible for handling, inspecting, packaging, shipping, and transporting hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role requires knowledge of business protocol, independent thinking in a fast-paced environment, effective communication, consensus building, and the ability to support a positive and participative work environment. The position involves working under time pressure, handling potential hazards from mobile equipment, cranes, and working in confined spaces, with exposure to extreme heat and cold, dust, dirt, chemicals, vibrations, noise, and fumes.
