About The Position

The Operating Room Technician will function as a Scrub Assistant during general surgeries. They will set up Operating Rooms with sterile instruments and surgical supplies, and assist with the care, preparation, and maintenance of sterile and unsterile equipment, instruments, and supplies. The technician will also provide direct patient care within the scope of practice to ensure implementation of the Plan of Care and communicate information pertinent to the patient's status to the Registered Nurse.

Requirements

Graduate of a Surgical Technical Program, an accredited Practical School of Nursing, equivalent training or successful completion of an orientation program.
Ability to work on call under direction of the RN.
BLS administration required.
