Operating Room Technician I - Operating Room – The One - Full Time – Days
About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian is expanding its mission of delivering the highest quality care to residents of Westchester County and surrounding communities. In September 2025, a state-of-the-art ambulatory care facility at 1111 Westchester Avenue in White Plains opened, designed to set new standards in patient experience, convenience, and quality care. Led by top Columbia doctors, this multi-disciplinary facility will offer a wide range of specialized adult and pediatric care. This role involves providing crucial support to physicians throughout a wide range of ambulatory surgical procedures (e.g., orthopedic, sports medicine, and pediatric ENT) in a fast-paced environment that challenges you to perform at your best every day and fosters continued growth and advancement. You will function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team, assisting in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room.
Requirements
- Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA) or if a new graduate, must supply exam date prior to start of employment. Certification must be obtained within six months of hire and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire.
- Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program or experience as on O.R. Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting.
- High school diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
