The Operating Room Support Specialists play a crucial role in making a positive impact on the lives of patients living with epilepsy. This role offers an opportunity to work in the OR, collaborating with neurosurgeons, epileptologists, and nurses, supporting case coverage for the VNS Therapy System, which is FDA-approved for the treatment of refractory epilepsy. The ideal candidate will understand the implantation, operating room, and credentialing process, gain or know the local hospitals, be available to work with short notice (1-2 days per week, no more than 29 hours a week), and reside within the territory. The Operating Room Support Specialist becomes a highly trained subject matter expert responsible for surgical case coverage in the OR during the implantation of the Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) Therapy System. Responsibilities include supporting Operating Room staff in product-related matters intraoperatively, including VNS diagnostics, troubleshooting, and programming assistance. Training on the Vagus Nerve Stimulator and procedural training will be provided. Travel requirements will be limited with the potential for an occasional overnight stay. This is a field-based position requiring regular visits to hospital facilities and compliance with hospital credentialing and access requirements, including necessary immunizations.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or clinical technical/operating room environment experience.
• Ability to project a positive image.
• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office software.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and nonverbal skills to communicate in the OR.
• Must reside within territory.
• Must be available to work with short notice 1-2 days, no more than 29 hours a week.

Responsibilities
