About The Position

The Intrepid Lane Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking RN candidates to provide patient care during surgery/ procedures. Owned and operated by Associated Medical Professionals and Colo-Rectal Associates surgeons, the brand-new free-standing center provides outpatient Urology, Colo-Rectal, and Endoscopy procedural care. We are expanding services and building our team of compassionate health care providers. The Procedure/circulating RN provides nursing care while the surgery/procedure is in progress, with a focus on patient safety. Prior to the procedure, the RN reviews patient medical information for completion, to include history and physical and consent for the procedure. The RN prepares/gathers necessary supplies, instrumentation, and equipment prior to the procedure and completes room management between procedures (turn over activities). The RN completes all intraoperative care documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Patients are minimally 14 years of age.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited program.
Active New York State Registered Nurse license required.
BLS certification upon hire.

Nice To Haves

Eager to learn procedural care in partnership with our skilled nurses and surgical technologists.
Can transition to, or cross cover other specialties, including Pre-Surgical (Prep) RN and Recovery Room RN skillsets.
