Operating Room (OR) RN | UF Health Leesburg | Full Time | Day Shift
About The Position
UF Health Leesburg Hospital is hiring an Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in its high-volume, 12-operating-room suite. Under the direction of the leadership team, the OR RN uses the nursing process to assess patients, develop and implement evidence-based care plans, and collaborate with the surgical care team. The 330-bed campus offers experience with complex surgical cases, cardiovascular care, orthopedics, and minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgery. The role includes circulating and scrubbing surgical cases and participating in a scheduled on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency surgeries. The position is full-time, day shift, and eligible for a competitive sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN).
- Active, unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid Compact multistate license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) or Critical Care experience is preferred.
- Prior circulating and CVOR RN experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use the nursing process to perform nursing assessments, make diagnoses, and formulate care plans.
- Implement and evaluate individualized plans of care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Circulate and scrub complex surgical cases while ensuring standard-of-care perioperative practices.
- Maintain readiness for after-hours and weekend emergency surgical cases through a scheduled on-call rotation.
