About The Position

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Full-time OR Posting Clerk in Same Day Surgery. This role provides administrative support and coordination for scheduling, registering, medical records, billing, and clerical functions. The position involves chart preparation, gathering paperwork for surgeries, utilizing medical terminology and EPIC experience, as well as office and computer skills.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
One year of related experience (Required)
Medical Terminology Experience (Strongly Preferred)
Medical Office Experience, great phone etiquette, computer skills, and experience working with Word and Excel (Strongly Preferred)

Nice To Haves

Associate or Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Heartsaver CPRAED Certification - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (Preferred)
EPIC Experience (Strongly Preferred)
Surgical Chat Prep Experience (Strongly Preferred)

Responsibilities

Provides administrative support and coordination for scheduling, registering, medical records, billing and clerical functions.
Chart Prep - gathering paperwork for surgeries utilizing your Medical Terminology and EPIC experience, as well as office and computer skills.
