About The Position

An individual who performs various patient care activities based on age and functional status, and related non-professional services in the Operating Rooms.

Requirements

• High School Graduate
• Maintains all certification as required by the Department of Nursing, including basic cardiac life support.
• Minimum of one-year experience in an acute care inpatient environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows approved/established techniques and procedures related to asepsis, infection control and safety.
• Performs all duties and tasks of an Operating Room Nursing Assistant, including room setup, transportation of patients, equipment retrieval, and room turnover.
• Performs between-case clean up in assigned OR’s, including surface cleaning, floor cleaning, tables, etc.
• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
