OR Nursing Assistant II
About The Position
An individual who performs various patient care activities based on age and functional status, and related non-professional services in the Operating Rooms. This position includes, but is not limited to the following essential functions. Essential Functions Follows approved/established techniques and procedures related to asepsis, infection control and safety. Performs all duties and tasks of an Operating Room Nursing Assistant, including room setup, transportation of patients, equipment retrieval, and room turnover. Performs between-case clean up in assigned OR's, including surface cleaning, floor cleaning, tables, etc. Hold retractors during procedures, once placed and positioned by the Physician and/or RNFA, while maintaining the sterile field. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
Requirements
- Basic cardiac life support (BLS) certification
- High school diploma required.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one year experience in an acute care inpatient environment preferred.
