Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Pennsylvania RN License
BSN
BLS certification
Stroke education annually
Meets performance standards within probationary period
Demonstrated leadership accountability through professional behavior
Demonstrate knowledge of emergency preparedness policies and procedures.
Must be able to work alternating shifts and be flexible
Monthly on call requirements including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

Perform all aspects of the nursing process.
Recognize, interpret, document, and demonstrate skills as required by patient population on assigned nursing unit.
Assist in planning, monitoring, and improving unit operations to achieve hospital goals of quality, service, and positive outcomes, under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Nursing Director.
Perform OR charge nurse duties as assigned.
Be available to be assigned to cases when needed.
Ensure the values of Respect, Compassion, Justice, Hospitality, Holistic Approach, Stewardship, and Collaboration are present in interactions and services provided.
