About The Position
Join our team as an Operating Room Housekeeper and help maintain a clean, safe, and surgery-ready environment for patients and medical staff. This role is crucial for ensuring that operating rooms are prepared for surgeries and adhere to all safety and infection control standards.
Requirements
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical cleaning duties throughout the shift.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred.
- Healthcare experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect operating rooms between surgical procedures.
- Perform operating room turnovers quickly and efficiently.
- Complete terminal cleaning of operating rooms and surgical areas.
- Restock supplies and prepare rooms for upcoming surgeries.
- Dispose of trash, biohazard waste, and soiled linens according to safety guidelines.
- Clean floors, walls, equipment, and other designated surfaces.
- Work closely with nurses and surgical staff to keep procedures running on schedule.
- Follow all infection control, OSHA, and hospital safety standards.
