About The Position
The Operating Room Assistant (ORA) functions as a member of the Perioperative Nursing team. Under the direct supervision of the Perioperative nurse and the Team Leader, the ORA is responsible for transporting patients, cleaning ORs, maintaining a clean environment, moving equipment, delivery of specimens, second scrubbing PRN, and other duties as assigned. The ORA has specific knowledge, skills, and training to work in an Operating Room Environment.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Able to read, understand and write English
- Successful completion of Hospital Orientation
- Successful completion of Departmental Orientation and Training
