About The Position

This job provides technical support services, assists with the delivery of patient care by functioning as a member of the surgical team, transports patients, runs errands, relays messages, and assists with patient care and room turnover. Monday - Friday 6:30AM - 3:30PM No Call

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience functioning calmly in a pressure situation.
Experience working with little supervision.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with little supervision.
Ability to use good judgement and handle difficult situations.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to function calmly in a pressure situation.
Ability to move throughout department and facility.

Responsibilities

Performs indirect patient care duties.
Maintains a clean, safe environment in patient care and support surgical areas.
Performs direct patient care duties.
Maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training and credentials.
Adapts to rapid day-to-day changes in the department / unit.
Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
Performs other related duties as required.
Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
