Operating Room Assistant - Surgery General
About The Position
Operating room assistants will be assigned to teams and Operating rooms to provide support. ORAs will be expert technical assistants within specialty groupings. During cases ORAs will prepare materials and equipment or assure that all materials and equipment are ready for the cases. Between cases, ORAs are expected to provide timely assistance. ORAs responsibilities will include all activities that are required for case clean up, case turnaround, transportation and any other activities as directed. Requirements
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Prepare materials and equipment for cases.
- Ensure all materials and equipment are ready for cases.
- Provide timely assistance between cases.
- Perform case clean up.
- Perform case turnaround.
- Perform transportation.
- Perform any other activities as directed.
- Function as an equipment specialist and/or anesthesia tech.
