About The Position

At Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, we perform procedures including General/vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, and OB/GYN in our 8 operating rooms. As an Orthopedic Center of Excellence, the majority of our cases are within the orthopedic service line. Our largest case volume includes same-day discharge procedures for total joints. The Operating Room Assistant functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a Registered Peri-Operative Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting in general department cleaning, case cart preparation, running errands, and assisting with transporting of patients and room turnover.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Card through the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire

Nice To Haves

• Previous operating room support staff role or training as a nursing assistant or other patient contact role preferred
