About The Position

Creates a sanitary, safe environment and assists nurses in patient care for the Operating Room (OR). This is a physically demanding role with 3 - 8 hour shifts, no weekends, and the ability to take Call.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
• BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
• BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
• BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE)
• BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
• Requires critical thinking skills, effective communications skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision with a positive disposition.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• No prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with moving surgical equipment.
• Cleans the OR surgical suites and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing linens and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Assists nurse with providing basic patient care.
• Stocks supplies in surgical suites as necessary or designated.
• Assists with transporting specimens and instruments.
