About The Position

Sazerac Company is seeking an Operating Engineer for the Collingwood Distillery. This role is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing boilers, pressure vessels, and compressed air systems according to TSSA standards and the Ontario Operating Engineers Act. The position involves using SCADA systems to supply steam, compressed air, and reverse osmosis water to internal customers, participating in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and conducting weekend and plant shutdown security. Requirements

Current 2nd Class Operating Engineers Certificate of Qualification from TSSA
Strong analytical and technical skills
Demonstrated knowledge of all relevant government regulations including Operating Engineers Act and Boiler and Pressure Vessels Act.
5 years previous experience as a 2nd Class Operating Engineer in a large Industrial or Manufacturing Environment
Physically fit
Ability to maintain equipment in good operating condition

Strong computer skills and high comfort using technology and systems
Good physical health. for example; capable of working on your feet, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling, lifting and squatting.
Strong knowledge of Boilers, Air Compressors and Reverse Osmosis Systems as to their operation and repair.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and repair all Boilers, Pressure Vessels and Compressed Air Systems to TSSA standards per the Ontario Operating Engineers Act.
Use computer and other SCADA systems to supply quality Steam, Compressed Air and Reverse Osmosis Water to internal customers.
Participate on TPM as required.
Conduct weekend and plant shutdown security.
