About The Position
JLL is seeking an experienced Operating Engineer to maintain the operational excellence of our facilities. This hands-on position requires technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure our warehouses, distribution centers, and office buildings function seamlessly for tenants and visitors.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in general building maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical systems
- Proficiency with computers and ability to learn Corrigo CMMS software
- Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders up to 28 ft
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Creative problem-solving abilities to address diverse building maintenance challenges
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in commercial building maintenance
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and controls
- Familiarity with building automation systems
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs
- Certifications in relevant technical fields
Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve general maintenance issues across building systems
- Maintain lighting systems including replacement of bulbs and ballasts
- Collaborate with the maintenance team on building equipment repair and upkeep
- Perform interior maintenance including picture hanging, keyboard tray installation, and office furniture repair
- Execute minor plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
- Complete specialized tasks including painting, locksmith work, and tenant service requests
- Relocate office furniture, machinery, and equipment as needed
- Conduct facility inspections and due diligence reporting on conditions affecting client operations
- Respond to emergencies 24/7 with appropriate urgency and expertise
- Maintain safety standards and good housekeeping practices while identifying and addressing potential hazards
- Responsible for one maintenance technician
