About The Position

JLL is seeking an Operating Engineer to join our team in Spring, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across all building systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring our client's facility operates at peak performance while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. This position requires technical expertise in at least one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations) while demonstrating multi-skilled capabilities across other disciplines. You will work independently and collaboratively to complete preventative maintenance programs, respond to service requests, and ensure all facility systems meet applicable standards and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated technical expertise in at least one craft area: Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations
  • Multi-skilled capabilities across other facility maintenance disciplines
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily/weekly work assignments
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to keep facility and building systems compliant with applicable standards
  • Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency
  • Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels
  • Review monthly client service request summaries to identify and correct recurrent operational problems
  • Evaluate vendors and suppliers regularly with regard to quality and competitive pricing
  • Verify the accuracy of deliveries for count, pricing, and description
  • Complete all other duties and tasks as assigned.
