The Joint Network Analysis & Targeting (JNAT) & Open Source Research (JNAT/OSR) Instructor is a SOF Subject Matter Expert (SOF-SME). This role supports the United States Army Special Operations Command’s (USASOC) and US Marine Corps Special Operations Command’s (MARSOC) subordinate units, and other DoD commands. The primary mission is to ensure all personnel engaged in training and exercises are prepared to the highest standards for worldwide deployment in Joint Operating Environments. The position involves collaboration with active-duty military personnel and other agency members. The SOF-SME will assist the JNAT Program Lead (JNAT-PL) and unit training and operations sections by applying JNAT techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTPs), using an Agile program management approach, and the ADDIE instructional design model. This role requires coordination with the JNAT-PL, unit Operations and Training Chiefs, subordinate unit training and operations chiefs, analysts, curriculum development experts, and instructors to ensure alignment of exercise, training, and education program materials and methods with stated objectives. The SOF-SME will also contribute to the review of course and program elements, making recommendations for adjustments. The individual will be trained as a JNAT & OSR Instructor to integrate TTPs into Exercise and Operational design and support JNAT & OSR course execution. Additionally, the SOF-SME will work with Quality Assurance to ensure improved methods and processes adhere to published regulations.
