About The Position

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance. A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify. Cherokee Preting is seeking an Open-Source Intelligence Policy-SME to assist USSOCOM in executing the approved OSINT enterprise Strategy.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Minimum of eight (8) years total experience as an OSINT analyst within the DoW or Intelligence Community.
  • High level of proficiency in the open-source intelligence discipline and, subsequently, the intelligence cycle.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and SharePoint
  • Advanced experience and understanding in include but are not limited to Commercially Acquired Information (Cai), Collateral Telemetry Data (CTD) and Security Classification Guidance.
  • Advanced proficiency with the current suite of available specific OSINT/PAI tools, databases, and repositories, as well as OSINT research methodology, and a strong understanding of the digital information environment (including social media, the internet, commercially available data, and deep/dark web data sources).
  • Advanced understanding of OSINT/PAI authorities, regulations, and policy.
  • Superior verbal briefing skills, well demonstrated history of briefing at the O5/GS14 lever or above.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
  • Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Execute the approved OSINT enterprise Strategy, including assembling initial recommendations for OSINT guidance documents; and maintaining awareness of OSINT-related policy, regulation, and guidance.
  • Developing, maintaining, and updating the web-based OSINT Mission Management portal’s and managing the OSINT partnerships and engagement strategy.
  • Provide support to the government action officers during the development, drafting, and staffing approval of USSOCOM’s OSINT Operational Guidance.
  • Track all required reviews, updates, and changes and will keep a repository of reference documents relevant to the guidance development.
  • Provide initial draft recommendations for government action officers to work from when finalizing the official government position.
  • Provide expertise necessary to review all OSINT-related policy, guidance, or regulations to identify required updates and changes to USSOCOM processes, procedures, and operations.
  • Provide informal and formal written assessments of the major changes and the projected impacts to the Command.
  • Assist in briefing Division, Directorate, and Command level leaders during information briefs and decision briefs.
  • Design, create, modify, and update all OSINT Mission Manager portals for the Command OSINT Enterprise.
  • Ensure maximum visibility of OSINT foundational knowledge by maintaining portals on unclassified and classified networks.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
