The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of Washington is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position. This role is open to Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor ranks without tenure due to funding (WOT). The position emphasizes a commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service within a diverse and inclusive academic environment. The appointment aligns with a 12-month service period, with faculty paid for 11 months of service and one month available for paid time off. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct funded critical care research, including interventional ICU trials, ICU clinical outcomes research, or large-scale data analysis and machine learning applications in critical care. Clinical responsibilities will primarily involve inpatient critical care. Teaching duties will include attending on clinical services and mentoring trainees. The Division is a large, multidisciplinary community with over 200 faculty, fellows, researchers, advanced practice providers, and staff across five major clinical sites. It houses several active centers and has a strong mission integrating clinical care, research, and education, with a focus on developing physician-scientists through its NIH T32 training program. Faculty in the division have a strong record of research productivity and funding.
