About The Position

The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida is seeking an Open Rank Faculty to provide Palliative Care services in an outpatient patient care setting. Appointment as a USF faculty member carries with it attending staff privileges at Tampa General Hospital (TGH) and affiliated hospitals. TGH is a level 1 trauma center that serves as a tertiary care facility serving south central and west Florida. Palliative Care Services will be provided at the TGH Cancer Institute. Tampa General Hospital’s Cancer Institute is nationally recognized for world-class care that is revolutionizing cancer treatment and is one of Florida's few cancer centers backed by academic medicine. As a national and global leader in cancer care, TGH is accredited by the Commission on Cancer (CoC) and takes a multidisciplinary approach to delivering high-quality, patient-centered cancer care, and demonstrating a commitment to improving patient outcomes and quality of life for all cancer patients. Appointment at the rank of Associate Professor requires a minimum of five years of continuing and productive service as an Assistant Professor, or the equivalent. Appointment at the rank of Full Professor requires a minimum of five years of continuing and productive service as an Associate Professor or the equivalent.
