About The Position

The Department of Radiology at University of Colorado Anschutz is seeking applicants for a full-time radiologist and faculty member in the Musculoskeletal Radiology Section. We are interested in candidates at any stage of their career from the Sr. Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels. The Department of Radiology offers two career pathways: Clinical Practice Track, with an exclusive focus on clinical work and no research expectations, and Academic/Tenure Eligible Track, with a focus on clinical, teaching, and research missions. The department has an excellent track record of obtaining J1 waivers, and candidates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Licensed MD or DO from accredited institution in the U.S., or equivalent, if a non-U.S. graduate
  • ABR eligible or certified
  • Colorado license by the time of hire.
  • Interpretation of radiology imaging studies and procedures
  • Competency in basic radiology procedures

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostic responsibilities include subspecialty interpretation of MSK, MRI, CT, ultrasound, and radiographs.
  • Spine imaging interpretation is shared between the neuroradiology and MSK sections.
  • Reads cases referred by Orthopedic Surgery, PM&R and Sports Medicine.
  • Weekend call duties are shared by all section members and consist of MSK specialty-specific coverage.
  • Experience in standard interventional MSK procedures such as CT-guided and ultrasound-guided biopsy, spine injection, and joint injection/aspiration is necessary.
  • Opportunities in advanced interventions including kyphoplasty and tumor ablation are available.
  • Participation in all aspects of our clinical practice across multiple sites.
  • Participation and collaboration through interdisciplinary conferences.
  • Participation in fellow, and resident education.
  • Regular interaction with referring providers within a highly collaborative setting.
