About The Position

Florida Polytechnic University invites applications for multiple open-rank (Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor) tenure-equivalent faculty positions in: Business Analytics Data Science Engineering Management Applicants are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and excellence in instruction that supports the department's academic programs. Additionally, candidates should be prepared to cultivate an active research program through extramural funding, publication in leading peer-reviewed journals within their discipline, and mentorship of both undergraduate and graduate students. A willingness to contribute to the department's broader educational mission is also essential. These positions will begin in August 2026.

Requirements

  • Earned graduate degree in appropriate field:
  • For Business Analytics or Engineering Management, the degree should be in Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering Management, Operations Management, Marketing, or a closely related field. Business degrees must be earned from an AACSB-accredited institution.
  • For Data Science, the degree should be in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a closely related field.
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate evidence of:
  • Teaching effectiveness
  • Ability to conduct independent research
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with a broad campus community.
  • Instructor: Master's degree from an accredited institution and Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline
  • Assistant Professor: Doctorate in the relevant discipline (see above)
  • Associate Professor: Doctorate in the relevant discipline (see above) and Must currently hold rank of Associate Professor or be eligible to apply for this rank at current institution
  • Full Professor: Doctorate in the relevant discipline (see above) and Must currently hold rank of Professor or 6+ years at the rank of Associate Professor
