Open Rank Faculty in Department of Finance
About The Position
The Department of Finance of The Pennsylvania State University (University Park) seeks to fill one non-tenure-line faculty position (rank and salary commensurate with experience) beginning in August 2026. Candidates must contribute to the mission of the Smeal College of Business and the Department of Finance in the areas of teaching and service. In particular, the candidate must effectively teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels; engage in service activities commensurate with their rank; and contribute to the collegial and intellectual atmosphere of the department. This is a term position; length of the term will be discussed during the interview process. Continuation past the term length discussed will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in finance or a closely related field
- Established record of effective teaching in the finance field at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, with particular emphasis on wealth management
Nice To Haves
- Terminal degree is preferred
- Possess a CFA or CFP credential
- Relevant industry experience
