About The Position

Open rank position for an Interventional Cardiologist within the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Cardiology. Position will include the performance of diagnostic and interventional procedures. Duties will be comprised of teaching, clinical, and research responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) / Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) degree, or equivalent.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.
  • Successful completion of an advanced subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology with at least 1 year dedicated to interventional Cardiology.
  • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

  • Must be able to collaborate with other sub-specialty areas within Cardiology.
  • Knowledge and ability to successfully evaluate patients referred for catheterization.
  • Ability to collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants, junior fellows, and nurses to form a high performing medical team.
  • Knowledge of academic medical institutions.
  • Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients referred for catheterization.
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Interpret diagnostic data during catheterization and formulate appropriate medical, surgical, and interventional treatment plans.
  • Educate and assist junior fellows during cardiac catheterization.
  • Collaborate with junior fellows and mid-level providers responsible for post procedural cases and discharge.
  • Collaborate with junior fellows, responsible for procedural documentation.
  • Conduct weekly outpatient clinics with new and follow-up patients.
  • Conduct regular catheter lab teaching to categorical fellows alternating with existing faculty.
