About The Position
Montgomery College, Germantown Campus, is seeking candidates for a Temporary Open Gym Supervisor in the Department of Health Enhancement, Exercise Science and Physical Education. The primary responsibility of this role is to help supervise the Recreation/Fitness Program open to students, faculty and staff. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, and any combination of education, training and experience providing understanding of the field and ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Fitness Certification from an NCCA accredited organization such as: American College of Sports Medicine, American Council on Exercise, The Cooper Institute, National Academy of Sports Medicine, National strength and Conditioning Association
- CPR/AED certification
- Experience in fitness instruction - group and/or individual
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship.
- Successful completion of a fingerprint/background screening is required at the time of hire.
- For degrees earned outside of the U.S., a copy of your education equivalency, conducted by a nationally recognized evaluation service, must be included in your application.
- Successful completion of a background check and degree verification (if applicable).
Responsibilities
- Supervise students during designated Open Gym hours.
- Enforce rules and regulations of the Open Gym program.
- Complete and maintain accurate records for the program.
- Effectively communicate and work with all faculty, staff and students.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
