About The Position

Shakepay is seeking Bitcoiners who want to help usher in the bitcoin golden age. They are looking for individuals with high agency, strong taste, and a proven track record of making things better, even if they don't fit neatly into a predefined role. Shakepay is a bitcoin company dedicated to a future where more Canadians save, think, and plan differently, believing that Bitcoin offers a superior savings mechanism compared to the fiat monetary system.

Requirements

• Based in Canada
• Deep conviction in bitcoin as the future of money
• A track record of ownership, execution, and independent thinking
• Comfort with ambiguity, small teams, and high accountability
• Fluency in English

• Believe bitcoin is the best form of money, not just another asset
• Care about self-custody, running a node, and long-term adoption
• Have high agency and a bias toward action
• Can hold a strong point of view without needing a title to make it count
• Are motivated by the mission, not just the next promotion cycle

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the mission of advancing Bitcoin adoption.
• Build, ship, fix, or improve aspects of Shakepay.
• Make Shakepay better by identifying opportunities and proposing solutions.
• Execute on ideas and initiatives without waiting for explicit permission.
