About The Position
Assists anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists in the acquisition, preparation, and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. Supports fluid resuscitation efforts with set-up, IV fluid delivery systems, volume administration, and blood administration. Assist with point of care testing. May assist with the transport of medication to or from the provider. Responsible for maintenance, operation and troubleshooting of anesthesia equipment and providing assistance and support for the Clinical/Anesthesia Tech I and II as needed. Utilizes his or her knowledge, expertise, and involvement in professional activities to teach new anesthesia employees and serve as a resource for other members of the anesthesia and OR teams.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
- Thirty (30) hour IV certification.
- Successful completion of Annual Orthopedic Education Requirements upon hire and then annually as outlined in the Orthopedic Program(s) Education Plan.
- BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
