Under the supervision of the immediate superior, the incumbent ensures the smooth operation of telephone and radio communications from the transmission control center. Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Minimum of one season of experience at La Ronde or 1 year of experience in a dispatch role.
• Knowledge of the Windows environment and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work well and quickly under pressure.
• Autonomy, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Listening and synthesis skills.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receives and transmits telephone and radio calls.
• Conducts research to obtain information relevant to operations and transmits it as needed.
• Communicates information to various managers to assist them in their work.
• Collects statistical data on attendance, temperatures, and execution times to prepare reports or statistical tables.
• Issues, exchanges, or retrieves radiocommunication equipment and records transactions in logs.
• Ensures the security of the transmission control center and the equipment used while on duty.
• Ensures that radio communication ethics are respected, that codes are used appropriately, and that relevant instructions are followed.
• Submits suggestions to improve the performance of the transmission operator team, the management and proper functioning of equipment, and the transmission control center in general.
• Performs any other related tasks.
