About The Position

The ORR Training Manager will ensure that ROP’s ORR staff are adequately trained and familiar with all ORR policy necessary for their assigned role and that all direct care and leadership staff are kept apprised and trained as policy changes occur regarding any aspect of ORR program execution. In addition to overseeing ORR policy training, the ORR Training Manager will audit staff records, processes, and deliverables to identify needed training and for compliance with ORR policy and guidance. The ORR Trainer reports to the Assistant Program Director or Program Manager with bifurcated supervision under the Regional Compliance Director depending on ORR program. What you’ll do: The Staff Site Trainer works as a member of the site management team. Primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of staff training and designated student training for the site(s) for which this position is responsible. In some instances, this position is required to provide training for multiple sites within a region. The Staff Site Trainer reports to the site Director of Group Living. In some instances, may directly supervise other training staff. Schedules, oversees and provides opportunities for required annual and continued staff training necessary for compliance with licensing regulations, ROP standards and for the site(s) for which this position is responsible. Oversees New Hire Orientation Training, Annual Recertification Training, Essential Subjects, and On The Job Training. Identifies employees on correction/improvement plans and provides the additional training necessary to ensure the employees successfully complete the improvement plan. Compiles, logs, files, and submits treatment and training documentation for the monthly Key Performance Indicators. Ensures the highest standards are maintained to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct and to ensure the program remains in compliance with agency licensing and Rite of Passage policies and procedures. Assists other staff members with emergency situations. Conducts and facilitates site tours, if required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • One year of experience of the related experience
  • Must hold instructor certifications in the following areas: CPR/First Aid, PPC, Crisis Intervention Techniques, Suicide Prevention, Treatment Topics, Essential Subjects and JIREH certified (if required).
  • Must be familiar with ROP procedures, policies, and program implementation.
  • Working knowledge of the Positive Operational Culture program.
  • Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees if required.
  • Strong knowledge of overall company operations and policies and procedures.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.
  • Ability to perform work with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to utilize resources available to complete assigned projects.
  • Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work in excess of 40 hours per week with the possibility of a varied schedule.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive internal and external relationships.
