About The Position

HelloHero is a community-based mental and behavioral health organization that has provided care to over 15,000 students and families in underserved communities since 2017. We are looking for individuals who take radical ownership, stay organized, communicate effectively, and move with urgency. Our work is guided by Collaboration, Courage, Trust, Care, and Impact. Our mission is to ensure students receive the services they need to succeed while creating a more sustainable and supportive environment for the clinicians providing care. This is an on-campus Therapist role in Wilmington, Ohio, supporting students and their families. Services are provided virtually during the summer. The role offers clear workflows, structured onboarding, and dedicated internal support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field and/or Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
• Hold an active license in Ohio (e.g., LPC, LSW, LMSW, LMFT)
• Dependent and Independent licenses accepted
• Valid malpractice insurance
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, and school-based mental health
• Reliable transportation (for in-person roles)
• Active Ohio license
• 1 year minimum experience preferred
• Comfortable using technology for virtual service delivery, including online platforms and documentation systems
• Reliable internet connection and access to appropriate technology for virtual service delivery

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based individual therapy, group sessions, and crisis interventions
• Conduct intakes, mental health assessments, and treatment planning
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including care coordinators, school counselors, behavioral specialists, and prescribers
• Deliver services to both students and, when appropriate, their families
• Ensure documentation meets clinical and insurance billing requirements
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation within HelloHero’s EMR

• Salaried W2: $55,000-85,000 OR Contractor/Hourly Rate: $30-50/hour
