About The Position

Since 1952, Open Door Mission has existed to restore hope and change lives of Rochester's men, women and children. This onsite supervisor has potential to evolve into a manager position and reports directly to the Director of Program Compliance. It is responsible for providing day-to-day direction to staff, clients and volunteers across Coldwater House & Rectory Program, that is in alignment with the mission "Restoring hope and changing lives". As the Supervisor in the residential programs this leader should reflect the core values of Open Door Mission which Faith, Family, Compassion, Community, Stewardship. This position provides case management for families who are homeless with mental health, substance abuse, and/or experiencing other co-morbid disorders. As the program expands, the position will grow into a manager level position with increased responsibilities related to hiring, performance, and offboarding.

Requirements

  • Ministry-minded Christian with a commitment to and a passion for Changing Lives and Restoring Hope
  • Progressive and current experience with case management in trauma services or residential program
  • Valid New York state driver's license, with driving record acceptable to insurance carrier
  • College degree or Certification related to behavioral health industry (addiction, mental health, trauma) with a minimum of 2 years directly related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leads each shift in a respectful manner and according to ODM policies and in alignment with Coldwater House & Rectory Program goals
  • Ensure proper staff scheduling, filling in as needed or required to ensure 24/7 coverage
  • Communicates clearly and thoroughly with staff on shift and incoming shift regarding resident and community issues
  • Responsible to report any staff or resident issues using documentation systems
  • Responsible to promptly report emergency concerns to appropriate personnel
  • Responsible to place food orders, supply requests and maintenance orders through appropriate departments
  • Oversee volunteer activities and delegate task when necessary
  • Provides training to new staff during probationary periods, and continual coaching to existing staff
  • Provides input to Director for performance reviews, corrective actions, hiring or separation decisions
  • Facilitate monthly house meetings and bi-monthly supervision with all staff
  • May facilitate group prayer, devotional etc. within the agency
  • Lead intake and assessments of incoming clients, ensures documentation is accurately completed and filed, this will also include maintaining a relationship with community for networking and building network.
  • Responsible to calculate and collect program fees
  • Responsible to complete FHLS monthly sheet and submit to Director
  • Facilitate groups on substance use and/or behavioral health needs
  • Completes or delegates staff to complete room inspections or drug screens as needed or required of clients for both sites
  • In collaboration with client, identify goals for client while in program
  • Complete or delegate referrals for clients seeking permanent housing, employment, social services, etc.
