The OnSite Specialist role is a field-based position that utilizes a wide array of knowledge, technical skills, and critical thinking abilities to facilitate job functions during surgical procedures, as well as preoperative and postoperative equipment management. The role involves providing clinical surgical support by managing all relevant equipment, anticipating the needs of OR staff and surgeons, and troubleshooting and maintaining Stryker equipment and related devices. Specialists work closely with surgeons, OR personnel, central processing, biomedical staff, and others. They are responsible for maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base of equipment and products through Stryker education, providing information on new and current products to physicians and OR personnel, and accurately recording and reporting data metrics related to job functions. Maintaining up-to-date account information and vendor credentialing is also crucial. The role requires adherence to all Stryker and medical facility policies, standards, and procedures, including HIPAA and patient confidentiality. Specialists must analyze and resolve product issues, maintain a professional appearance and work ethic, and possess excellent analytical, interpersonal, equipment problem-solving, and time management skills. The position may require support on all shifts at the assigned account, as well as support at other accounts in and outside the region, potentially including on-call, overnight, and weekend shifts, and may require overnight travel. Assigned shifts can change without notice based on business needs, including rotating shifts. The role is primarily focused on supporting surgical procedures and equipment management within a medical facility.
