This field-based role utilizes a wide array of knowledge, technical skills, and critical thinking abilities to facilitate job functions during surgical procedures, as well as preoperative and postoperative equipment management. The specialist provides clinical surgical support by managing all relevant equipment, anticipating the needs of OR staff and surgeons, and troubleshooting/maintaining Stryker equipment and other related devices. This role involves working collaboratively with surgeons, OR personnel, central processing, biomedical staff, and others. The specialist is responsible for maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base of equipment and disposable products through Stryker education, providing information on new and current products to physicians and OR personnel, and accurately recording and reporting data metrics related to job functions and surgical procedures. Additionally, the role requires maintaining up-to-date account information, ensuring vendor credentialing, and adhering to all Stryker and medical facility policies, standards, and procedures, including HIPAA. The specialist must analyze and resolve product issues, maintain a professional appearance and attitude, and provide support/coverage on all shifts at the assigned account, potentially including on-call, overnight, and weekends, as well as support at other accounts in and outside the region, which may require overnight travel. Assigned shifts can change without notice and may include rotating shifts.
