This field-based position utilizes a wide array of knowledge, technical skills, and critical thinking abilities to facilitate job functions during surgical procedures, as well as preoperative and postoperative equipment management. The role involves providing clinical surgical support by managing all relevant equipment, anticipating the needs of OR staff and surgeons, and troubleshooting/maintaining Stryker equipment and other related devices. The Specialist works collaboratively with surgeons, OR personnel, central processing, biomedical staff, and others. They are responsible for maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base of equipment and disposable products through Stryker education, providing product information to physicians and OR personnel, and accurately recording and reporting data metrics. Maintaining up-to-date account information, ensuring continuous high levels of service, and adhering to all Stryker and medical facility policies, standards, and procedures are crucial. The role also involves analyzing and resolving product issues, maintaining a professional appearance and work ethic, and adhering to HIPAA and patient confidentiality policies. Support and coverage may be required on all shifts at the assigned account, as well as at other accounts within and outside the region, potentially including on-call, overnight, and weekend shifts, and may require overnight travel. Assigned shifts can change without notice based on account/business needs, including rotating shifts.
