The OnSite Specialist utilizes a wide array of knowledge, technical skills, and critical thinking abilities to facilitate job functions during surgical procedures, as well as preoperative and postoperative equipment management. This role provides clinical surgical support by managing all relevant equipment, anticipating the needs of the Operating Room (OR) staff and surgeon, and troubleshooting and maintaining Stryker equipment and other related devices. The specialist works collaboratively with surgeons, OR personnel, central processing, biomedical staff, and others. They are responsible for maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base of equipment and disposable products through Stryker education, providing information on new and current products to physicians and OR personnel, and accurately recording and reporting data metrics related to job functions. Additionally, the role involves maintaining up-to-date account information, ensuring continuous high levels of service, and managing all vendor credentialing required by the account. The specialist must adhere to all Stryker and medical facility policies, standards, and procedures, analyze and resolve product issues, and maintain a professional appearance, work ethic, and attitude. Confidentiality regarding patient information (HIPAA) is paramount. The position requires flexibility to provide support and coverage on all shifts at the assigned account, as well as at other accounts within and outside the region, which may include on-call duties, overnights, weekends, and overnight travel. Assigned shifts can change without notice based on business needs, potentially including rotating shifts.
