The OnSite Specialist provides in-room support for minimally invasive surgical (MIS) and related procedures, ensuring optimal performance of Stryker and third-party equipment. This role bridges clinical teams, SPD, and Stryker service lines to maintain smooth, high-quality OR operations. The Specialist utilizes a wide array of knowledge, technical skills, and critical thinking abilities to facilitate job functions during surgical procedures, as well as preoperative and postoperative equipment management. They are responsible for managing all relevant equipment, anticipating the needs of O.R. staff and surgeons, and troubleshooting and maintaining Stryker equipment and other related devices. This role involves working collaboratively with surgeons, O.R. personnel, central processing, biomedical staff, and others. The Specialist must maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of equipment and disposable products through Stryker education programs, provide physicians and OR personnel with information on new and current products, and accurately record and report data metrics related to job functions. Maintaining up-to-date account information and completing all vendor credentialing are also key responsibilities. The role requires adherence to all Stryker and medical facility policies, standards, and procedures, including HIPAA and patient confidentiality. The Specialist must be able to analyze and resolve product issues expediently using independent judgment, maintain a professional appearance and attitude, and provide support/coverage on all shifts at their assigned account, as well as potentially at other accounts in and outside their region. This may include on-call, overnight, and weekend shifts, and may require overnight travel. Assigned shifts can change without notice and may include rotating shifts.
