About The Position

Mallory Safety & Supply is hiring an Onsite Safety & Inventory Specialist to join our Onsite team in Longview, WA! As a rapidly growing company, we are looking for individuals interested in building a long-term career and being part of an amazing team. This position plays a critical role in supporting several large industrial customer sites throughout the Longview area. As an Onsite Safety & Inventory Specialist, you will serve as Mallory’s direct representative inside customer facilities each day. This role combines inventory management, customer service, operational support, safety compliance, inspections, and field-based service work into one highly visible and important position. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that requires professionalism, reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The individual in this role will spend their days supporting customer safety initiatives, maintaining critical safety equipment, replenishing inventory, completing inspections, and building strong working relationships with onsite personnel and customer safety teams. The role is largely self-managed, as the employee will have their own office onsite at the mill and will independently manage schedules, priorities, inspections, and service responsibilities across multiple customer locations. Success in this position directly contributes to maintaining and growing important customer partnerships for Mallory. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active throughout the day, solving problems independently, working in industrial environments, and building long-term customer relationships. Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience and a driving record that aligns with our Safe Driver Policy
  • Reliable personal vehicle for daily travel between customer sites
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build professional relationships with customer safety teams and onsite personnel
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple responsibilities and priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to customer-specific processes, systems, inventory programs, and safety procedures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and technology-based reporting systems
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in industrial environments, often exceeding 5+ miles per day
  • Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs throughout the workday
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and lifting throughout the shift
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and replace fire extinguishers and safety equipment weighing up to approximately 40 pounds
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to safely drive between customer facilities throughout the workday

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse, inventory, industrial, facilities, safety, or field service experience preferred
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments around active manufacturing operations

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers, hoses, gas detection monitors, AEDs, eyewash stations, and first aid kits across multiple industrial customer locations
  • Replace extinguishers, sensors, calibration gas, and other safety equipment as needed
  • Create updated inspection labels and maintain accurate compliance documentation
  • Complete inspections and maintain records using Pervidi and other inventory tracking systems
  • Maintain and update Excel order sheets for VMI programs, storerooms, and first aid inventory
  • Manage onsite inventory replenishment, deliveries, and customer support for multiple customer facilities
  • Support scheduled VMI and storeroom service programs at customer sites
  • Travel between customer locations throughout the workday using your personal vehicle while utilizing TripLog for mileage tracking and reimbursement purposes
  • Build strong professional relationships with customer safety teams, onsite personnel, vendors, and internal teammates
  • Communicate effectively and maintain a high level of professionalism while representing Mallory onsite each day
  • Support emergency readiness initiatives, inventory management, safety compliance efforts, and additional operational responsibilities as needed
  • Work independently while managing multiple responsibilities, priorities, and customer expectations across several customer locations
