About The Position

Labcorp is seeking an Onsite Lab Support Clerk to join their team in Arlington Heights, IL. This role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, communicating with client office staff, troubleshooting customer and specimen issues, meeting department goals, and accurately entering patient information. The position also includes labeling specimens, packing and shipping them, and performing special services like spinning, freezing, and splitting specimens as needed. The role is onsite with one of Labcorp's client offices and requires a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED or equivalent
1 year or more experience in laboratory or accessioning or data entry or manufacturing
Comfortable handling biological specimens
Ability to accurately identify specimens
Experience working in a team environment
Strong data entry and organizational skills
High level of attention to detail
Proficient in MS Office
Able to lift up to 40lbs.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

1 year or more of medical or patient facing healthcare experience

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
