About The Position

As an Onsite IT Support Technician, you'll play a crucial role in resolving technical issues, installing, and configuring hardware and software, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems on-site. Utilizing your technical expertise, you'll provide first-level technical information systems support to the university community, resolving routine technical problems, and ensuring seamless operation of IT initiatives. We’re seeking a motivated and dependable technician who’s ready to jump in, solve problems, and represent IT Voice both virtually and in-person when needed.

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalency required.
  • Approved to work in the US with a valid driver's license.
  • Basic PC and peripheral experience required.
  • Punctual, courteous, and professional demeanor required.
  • Dependable transportation to the customer site is required.
  • Must be located in the Cleveland, OH area due to the onsite engagement.
  • The ability to get stuff done (there’s no room on our ship for slackers)
  • Passion for Technology (duh!)
  • Heart to always do the right thing and admit mistakes (they will happen and its ok)
  • Good communication skills (willing to give and receive constructive feedback)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with MS365 is favorable.
  • 1-2 years of support experience and willingness to learn are favorable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide desk-side support for hardware and software issues, including PCs and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot IT systems and applications.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and networks on-site.
  • Collaborate with the IT Voice technical support team to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations.
  • Adhere to IT Voice's core values of Focus on others, own it, work smart, and do the right thing.
