Onsite Inventory Control Manager

LuminizeFort Worth, TX
$80,000 - $100,000Onsite

About The Position

We are looking for an operational "Hunter" to manage a complex inventory environment involving raw materials, kitting, and high-volume FBA outbound. This role is crucial as we transition from a custom WMS to a new tier-1 system. The primary mission is to ensure our physical inventory accurately matches our data, mitigating "spillage" by auditing the lifecycle of every unit from purchase order to shipment. This is a hands-on role requiring a "Floor First" mentality, where the individual will physically inspect inventory and drive process improvements.

Requirements

  • 7+ Years in Inventory Control in a facility that does Assembly/Kitting (not just pick-and-pack).
  • Experience receiving FTL and LTL with mixed pallets and similar products.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems, including tier 1 systems (Netsuite, SAP) and custom/proprietary legacy systems.
  • Comfort navigating imperfect software during an upgrade.
  • Ability to physically inspect pallets, climb ladders, and open boxes to verify counts.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables for data analysis.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills to professionally address discrepancies with warehouse staff.
  • Ability to architect and rewrite broken SOPs.
  • Uncompromising integrity and commitment to accuracy.
  • Clear communication skills for explaining complex discrepancies to leadership and floor staff.
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision and proactively identify/fix problems.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce a strict 3-way match (PO vs. Packing Slip vs. Physical Count) at the dock, acting as the final authority on payments.
  • Manage Work In Progress (WIP) inventory for production and kitting, tracking units pulled for builds, ensuring correct system consumption, and reconciling leftover raw materials.
  • Support the WMS transition by identifying and cleaning bad data patterns in the current system to ensure accurate data migration to the new software.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies, fixing processes to prevent recurrence rather than just adjusting counts.
  • Execute daily cycle counts and audits to maintain 99.9% inventory accuracy.
