The Onsite Maintenance Engineer will work in partnership with the customer, management team, global helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.

Requirements

  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) Certification (preferred)
  • Intermediate experience on UC technology for Teams/Zoom
  • Basic IT knowledge such as networking, operating system & computer hardware
  • Effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues
  • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner and to solder & crimp connectors
  • Ability to manage small to medium projects
  • Familiarity with minor programming (AMX/Creston) – changes and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
  • Intermediate computer knowledge
  • Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control
  • Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standard
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to regularly climb and work from ladders up to heights of 35 feet; lifting equipment, tools and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the service and maintenance of Audio-Video (AV) and Unified Communications (UC) systems.
  • Oversee installation & commissioning of AV/UC technologies & spaces.
  • Perform maintenance tasks to help maintain customer spaces including but not limited to, testing/repairing cables and testing/repairing various hardware components
  • Field service support of networked devices (Routers, IP Protocols, etc.)
  • Ability to upload and download control programs
  • Ability to perform minor edits to control programs
  • Provide direct assistance to end users in the operation of the AV/UC systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks & services on AV/UC systems
  • Perform maintenance support on all AV/UC systems including but not limited to basic troubleshooting and system fault isolation, projector lamp changes, filter cleaning, etc.
  • Provide setup and operational support for eventsPerform administrative tasks as required
  • Work a flexible schedule as required by the Customer
  • Perform service troubleshooting and maintenance support on standard AV/UC systems
  • Setup and monitor video calls as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all Customer safety and procedural guidelines
  • Track all maintenance activity start to finish with proper documentation as required
  • Coordinate RMA processing and parts procurement as needed
  • Maintain accurate inventory on all AV/UC systems including spare parts as required
  • Provide phone support for Western Alliance Bank remote sites (minimal requests)
  • Support Teams & Zoom conference spaces
  • Provide day-to-day support of AV/UC systems
  • Provide meeting support for high-profile meetings
  • Daily meeting room checks and services to validate spaces are ready & in full service
  • Provide first level of support for service issues with AV/UC equipment
  • Schedule preventative maintenance for AV/UC spaces
  • Educate customer use of technology and room systems
  • Oversee installation projects of AV/UC technologies and spaces
  • Oversee designing and standardization of AV/UC technologies and spaces
  • Familiar with webinar hosting and supporting live events
  • Familiar with Absen Video Walls or similar VW systems
  • Familiar with Poly, Shure, Biamp & Q-sys hardware
  • Ability to work with clients ServiceNow instance for asset management (future)
  • Ability to work on Digital Signage systems (future)
