About The Position

The Audio Visual (AV) Engineer will provide AV support to RavenTek’s DoD and Civilian customers throughout the United States including but not limited to configuring, programming, repairing, and testing AV equipment, as well as providing appropriate training. The performance of this position is key to RavenTek’s performance and therefore RavenTek’s mission to support our customers.

Requirements

  • Proficient in control system design (Crestron/Extron).
  • Proficient in uploading and downloading software in embedded systems.
  • Proficient in system design using AutoCAD and Visio.
  • Hands-on experience with control systems, videoconferencing, switching hardware, audio DSP setup, and calibration.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and handle multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with a customer focus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years additional relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Crestron or Extron control system programming experience.
  • CTS certification required.
  • Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in programming languages for AV Systems is desired.
  • CTS-I and D certifications desired.
  • Extron or Crestron certifications desired.

Responsibilities

  • Surveying, planning, developing, designing, configuring and testing multi-class AV solutions for the DoD and Civilian customers.
  • Documenting and negotiating system requirements with customers.
  • Developing full AV system list of materials.
  • Creating technical standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Developing touch panel design.
  • Providing full AV system training and user guides to onsite personnel.
  • Must be able to travel to various job sites as needed.
  • Technical coordination and leadership of onsite sub-contractors and vendors.
  • Performing in-house testing and on-site commissioning at client locations.
  • Ensuring programming meets system requirements and capabilities.
  • Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period.
  • Monitor and respond to RavenTek email a minimum of 3 times per week.
  • Complete required compliance training as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
