About The Position

The Onsite AV Service Technician reports to and works within an assigned client site location daily, providing support for technical system needs. The most important requirement for this role is the ability to create and maintain a client relationship which results in superior client satisfaction, as well as the renewal and growth of an ADOPT onsite support agreement. Support normally includes multiple aspects, such as meeting/conference/events assists, inventory tracking, reporting, and proactive systems maintenance. Additionally, the technician exercises technical skill level abilities to perform routine maintenance, and repair of faulty systems and equipment.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma (or equivalent) is a minimum requirement for this position.
  • A background screen and driving records check will be performed for all applicants.
  • Applicants must show a legal ability to work within the United States (via I9 verification).
  • Experience with audio-visual related systems.
  • Experience trouble shooting video walls, control systems, and DSP
  • Experience with video conferencing, unified communications, and collaboration platforms.
  • Experience in a field related to providing face-to-face client technical systems support.
  • Experience providing technical systems support.
  • Experience supporting internal and external client relationships.
  • Superior client relationship management is a requirement for this position (i.e. exhibiting the ability to create an atmosphere of tension relief during high stress encounters).

Responsibilities

  • Daily on-site AV system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
  • Phone and email support as requested/required.
  • Meeting/Event support including set-up, in-meeting assistance, and break down/post meeting support.
  • Preventative maintenance and daily AV system and conference room checks to ensure high levels of operational readiness.
  • Leadership or participation in systems test planning and test execution.
  • Leadership and participation in the validation of operational readiness through documentation, training, monitoring, etc.
  • Compliance with the established Client change management processes for AV software and firmware updates.
  • Resolution of AV Room/system technical issues by communicating with the Client’s AV Engineering team as well as Diversified Engineering and remote support teams.
  • Act as the liaison with the Diversified Account Representative and Sales Teams to move forward on any client requested or necessary room upgrades.
  • If applicable, collects and reports all service activities through the Client’s service ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with the AV Manager to plan and implement technology solutions
  • Support the on-site installation efforts of the team. Troubleshoot and debug AV systems.
  • Complete training programs from manufacturers, industry associations, and company as required.
  • Troubleshoot issues with technology and AV equipment, and repairs as necessary. Serve as on-call escalation for issue resolution.
  • Participate in and successfully complete all required client training as required.
  • Maintain professional appearance appropriate for an office/corporate environment

  • Work closely with the Site Lead
  • Maintain and support on-site audiovisual equipment
  • Operate under client staff direction for weekly assignments and tasks
  • Assist with AV room troubleshooting, cleaning, and general preventative maintenance
