Onshore Oracle Lease Accounting Consultant
About The Position
Accenture is seeking an Onshore Oracle Lease Accounting Consultant to join their Oracle practice. This role involves helping clients transform their IT systems using leading-edge technologies and innovative methodologies. The Oracle practice focuses on leveraging design thinking, agile development, and smart technologies like IoT, automation, and AI to drive digital leadership for companies. Accenture's Oracle practice is recognized for its expertise, with numerous awards and a strong partnership with Oracle. The consultant will be part of a high-performing Oracle Cloud Financials configuration team, with a specific emphasis on Lease Accounting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or completion of a related college program.
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud Financials, with strong expertise in Lease Accounting.
- Accounting background (IFRS 16, project costing and fixed assets).
- Experience with Lease accounting, mapping, SLA configurations, and integrations with third-party or upstream systems.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, subledger accounting, and reporting.
- English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada.
Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing guidance and making informed decisions impacting the team and project workstreams.
- Engage with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to drive key solution decisions and ensure alignment with financial and accounting requirements.
- Design, configure, and implement Oracle Cloud Lease Accounting solutions, including account rules, mapping sets, subledger accounting setups, and integrations.
- Troubleshoot complex financial issues and provide scalable, actionable solutions across multiple teams.
- Work hands-on with integrations involving source systems, accounting transformations, and inbound/outbound interfaces.
- Support month-end activities, financial reporting, and production support, ensuring stability and accuracy of Lease Accounting processes.
