About The Position

Littera Education is seeking part-time, W-2 online tutors for the Fall 2026 semester. Tutors will provide high-impact, customized tutoring in Reading and/or Math to K-12 students. The role is fully remote, with no lesson planning required as the curriculum and platform are provided. Tutors will work with small groups of 1-3 students, focusing on connecting with students and improving their academic outcomes. This is a supplemental income opportunity, with hours varying based on student enrollment and client needs.

Requirements

• U.S.-based applicants only, living and working within eligible states.
• Consistent availability required, comfortable with fluctuating hours and able to commit to a reliable weekly schedule.
• Experience or strong knowledge in Reading, Math, Algebra, or ESL/ELL.
• Ability to work with diverse learners, adapting approach, offering encouragement, and tutoring with care.
• Ability to build genuine connections with students and create a motivating learning environment.
• Comfortable using virtual tools: video, audio, screenshare, whiteboard, and chat.
• Laptop or desktop computer (Chrome browser recommended).
• Reliable high-speed internet connection.
• Quiet space with an educational or blank background.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Show up consistently and connect with students.
• Help students achieve academic goals.
• Deliver instructional support during live, scheduled sessions.
• Communicate effectively with students using Littera's virtual tutoring platform.
• Read and interpret on-screen lesson materials in real time.
