About The Position

The Online Degree and Diploma Specialist at the Office of the Registrar is responsible for conducting degree audits for graduate online students. This role involves close collaboration with online program managers, directors, and faculty student service officers to ensure accurate degree compliance evaluations, considering faculty decisions on course attributes, exemptions, and substitutions. The specialist is also responsible for producing official university documents for online students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic (both written and oral).
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • French language skills.
  • Knowledge of curriculum functioning.
  • Knowledge of Banner and CAPP.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts degree audits using CAPP compliance reports, checklists, and other tools.
  • Implements petitions and course attributes on CAPP.
  • Assists in graduation-related activities.
  • Assists in the preparation and printing of degrees and diplomas.
  • Assists in degree and diploma distribution, both in conjunction with commencement and throughout the year.
  • Works at commencement exercises on behalf of the Office of the Registrar.
  • Prepares requested transcripts/certificates for pre-checking.
  • Prints requested transcripts/certificates.
  • Scans transcripts/certificates and related forms meant for electronic delivery.
  • Seals physical transcripts/certificates in envelopes for pickup or courier and files them.
  • Ensures service standards are met.
  • Creates a collaborative work environment and engages across functions.
  • Assists clients in a professional manner.
