About The Position

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking online adjunct faculty for its Human Services program within Global Campus. The role involves engaging students in an asynchronous and inclusive learning environment by providing guidance, resources, instruction, and feedback in pre-developed online courses. The goal is to support students in achieving their learning and career goals. This is a remote position available in all US States except California. Currently, instructors are sought for HSE215 - Child Growth and Cognitive Development.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • 2 years or more of professional experience in the field with children and adolescents

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize Student Engagement – Work with students by responding within set timeframes and reaching out to students needing additional support.
  • Recognize student needs holistically and connect them with resources.
  • Encourage participation, collaboration, and faculty-student relationships to enhance learning and build skills.
  • Stay current in your field of expertise, share your experience, and recommend relevant supplementary materials to enhance student understanding of course content.
  • Find accessible ways to explain complex topics.
  • Evaluate student work and provide individualized, constructive feedback within set timeframes to promote growth and mastery of course outcomes.
  • Encourage student interaction through active participation in online discussions while promoting an inclusive, engaging, and respectful environment that promotes open dialogue and diverse perspectives.
